Grant writing and development

Successful grant development is a combination of having the right idea combined with good writing, organization skills, attention to detail, and creativity. Whether you are looking to fund your nonprofit, or you want to learn a marketable skill, this class will help you understand what it takes to produce a successful grant application.  During this hands-on, interactive class you will learn to preplan, develop the proposal, what the common elements of a grant are, how to align your mission, vision, and program activities to respond to a funding request, and you will learn tips to make your grant request compelling and fundable. The packet you receive will contain resources to support your quest for grant funding.  Additionally, the course will provide practice in grant activity development that will support your understanding of the process. The $15 materials fee is included in the cost of the course. We have student parking in level P2 located underground at the Cesar E Chavez Campus at 1901 Main Street.
